Lara Flynn Boyle Gets New Reality Show

October 06, 2010 11:00 AM by Allyson Wells

Have you wondered what happened to Lara Flynn Boyle, former star of The Practice?  Now you can find out, as Deadline is reporting that the actress will be getting her own reality television series on the E! Network.  The new series will follow Boyle’s life in Hollywood and Texas, as she tries to juggle her hectic schedule.

Deadline reports that E! picked up the reality series, but doesn’t have a title yet.  Apparently, the show will spotlight Boyle’s marriage to real estate investor Donald Ray Thomas II and her Texas living, as well as her Bel-Air lifestyle.  While Lara Flynn Boyle was once a prominent star of The Practice, Twin Peaks, Men in Black II, and other roles, she has seemingly fallen off the radar in past years.  E! has produced successful shows and raised them to new celebrity status, such as Keeping Up with the Kardashians.  It is possible that Boyle is following in the footsteps of other celebrities in hopes to elevate her status.

Is Lara Flynn Boyle going to produce the ratings that Kim Kardashian or Kendra Wilkinson rakes in for the network?  E! must see something redeeming to pick up her show.  Although not a news maker in recent years, Boyle is no stranger to controversy or creating news waves.  The ex-flame of Jack Nicholson once showcased her feisty side on the show, Punk’d.  She also once donned a ballerina dress, complete with ballerina shoes, to the Golden Globe Awards. Perhaps her new series will showcase this eclectic side of hers that has been hidden away in past years.
