If you’ve been watching Top Chef: Just Desserts and think you have what it takes to impress the judges, then now is your chance. Viewers of the reality show can submit their own recipes for a chance to win a complete kitchen makeover.
To compete for a kitchen worthy of your culinary skills, simply put your spin on the classic Key Lime Pie, Strawberry Shortcake or Mint Chocolate Chip and submit your recipe to Bravo. The top three recipes will be created, tasted and evaluated by Top Chef: Just Desserts judge and Pastry Chef Sherry Yard. The winner of the dessert she deems the best will be awarded a gift card for a kitchen makeover.
Your recipes will be in qualified hands as, in addition to being the Executive Pastry Chef at Spago Beverly Hills and Top Chef: Just Desserts judge, Sherry Yard has worked in top restaurants in New York City, Los Angeles and San Francisco. Throughout her career she has been awarded Southern California Restaurant Writers Association’s Pastry Chef of the Year for 1998 – 1999, Bon Appetit’s Food and Entertaining Awards’ Pastry Chef of the Year in 2000, and the James Beard Foundation’s Outstanding Pastry Chef of the Year in 2002.
Not to mention, Sherry Yard has also created desserts for the Grammy Awards, Emmy Awards and several Governors Ball dinners, which follow the Academy Awards. So, if you can impress her, you might just be on to something.
Get creative and wow Sherry Yard by submitting your unique dessert recipe to Show Us Your Sweets.
