Bravo‘s hottest show from the south, The Real Housewives of Atlanta, just got a lot hotter with the addition of new housewife Phaedra Parks. She has the style, the attitude, the career… and the ex-con hubby? The self proclaimed southern belle is the newest addition on the Bravo hit, The Real Housewives of Atlanta. You’d think it’d be nearly impossible for Bravo to find a new housewife with enough drama to compete with the loud mouth fame mongers that have made the ATL version of the franchise a mega hit.
But, they did. And her name is Phaedra Parks.
She’s a not-so lean (as in 6 months pregnant), mean, lawyering machine with an interesting past that will no doubt give the other housewives something to talk about.
Apparently, back in 2004, her not then husband, Appollo, was arrested of a white collar crime. Now that they’re married and he’s a house husband extraordinaire whom Phaedra compares to a “frickin Martha Stewart,” she’s getting dragged through the press about how a lawyer married an ex-con.
Well, she did.
The hubby is question, Apollo Nida, is currently on parole for running an auto theft ring and spent almost six of the past 12 years in prison. What a catch! Parks stands her ground though, and like the well trained attorney that she is, made this statement:
“People always talk, but I know who he is and I know who I am. I have a wonderful marriage with him and we have a wonderful family.â€
Whatever they have, it better be interesting to watch. Want more? Follow our tweets on Twitter and “like” us on Facebook!
