Bravo‘s newest show, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, premiered tonight. And thus made the world a little more jealous, one ridiculously wealthy housewives at a time. The new ladies of the 90210 bring the beauty, glitz and drama and make for one very rich episode.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills begins as we meet Lisa, feeding her dog Giggy breakfast in bed. After a quick tour of her gigantic and beautiful house we hate her even more meet Lisa’s hubby Ken. The two have two kids — Pandora and Max — but they have moved out, so Lisa fills her house with furry friends. Oh… and Cedric. Lisa’s super hot “permanent†house guest. This will be good.
Next we meet Adrienne, who lives across the street from Lisa. She’s a part of a family business, an empire that owns an NBA basketball team and the Palms casino in Las Vegas. She’s married to a plastic surgeon, Paul. Adrienne makes it very clear that her hubby is not involved in the family business at all, and that they keep everything separate, including politics. (Adrienne is a Democrat, Paul is a Republican.)
Up next is sexy Camille, a mother of two with FOUR nannies (two per kid), who is married to TV star Kelsey Grammer. They’ve been together for 13 years and Kelsey says it’s time for his wife to get some attention. Camille helps Kelsey pack for a play in New York that will keep him conveniently out of the house for the entire, drama filled season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
The next housewife we meet is Taylor, a small town girl who made good. And had a whole bunch of plastic surgery. She heads to Adrienne’s hubby’s office to inject some filler on her face. Which sounds as gross as it looks. She’s worried her husband will leave her for a 20 year old, so she wants to stay sexy for her man. She is just waiting for the day she gets kicked to the curb.
Finally we meet the sisters. Kim Richards is a single mom of four and aunt of Paris Hilton. She lives for her kids and loves it. As a former child star, she spent a career in front the camera and never felt she had a normal childhood. So she wants to give that to her kids. Unfortunately, she just got a divorce and has to find a new place to live, so things are shaky in her world.
Kim goes house hunting for a bigger home for her busy family with her sister, Kyle, who was also a child actress. She’s spent her life making movies and making babies. Her four kids range in age from 21- 2. Kyle is obsessed with her kids, so it’s lucky that her husband is in real estate and very successful, so she can be a stay at home mom.
Adrienne decides to bring the housewives together and fly them on a private jet to Sacramento to see her team play the LA Lakers, where they get the VIP treatment, naturally. We all know that the Lakers won the NBA championship, so you can guess that the Kings lost.
The show ends with Kyle and Kim fighting over Kim’s co-dependent nature. Kyle promised her mom on her deathbed to watch out for her sister Kim. But it’s getting harder, as Kim makes no effort to meet other friends. Kyle ends up walking out in a huff.
Having a sister on the show will add some serious sizzle to this already drama filled show. I can’t wait to see next week!
