Hell’s Kitchen on FOX‘s Gordon Ramsay seems to be the restaurant king, and now he is planning to open a “pie and mash” cafe with soccer superstar David Beckham. Keep reading for all the details on what the duo will be offering!
That’s right, superstar Michelin Chef Gordon Ramsay is at it again, this time opening a new restaurant with David Beckham. It is being reported that the duo have registered the name PM (Pie & Mash) Restaurant in their joint initials DBGR with the Intellectual Property Office. A spokesman for Gordon Ramsay said “We have various projects under consideration and we regularly register trademarks. We have no immediate plans to use it.” and the Intellectual Property Office has said “Objectors have two months to oppose the granting of trademarks.” So it looks like something is in the works for the near future.
Pie and Mash shops, or cafes selling pie, mash and jellied eels have been around since the 18th century, and are considered traditional London working class food. Apparently David Beckham is addicted to the pie and mash shops and often has meals shipped to him while in LA. So what will this duo put on their menu? On the menu at the duo’s cafe, which doesn’t yet have a venue, will be typical East End fare, such as jellied eels. I’m sure in the coming months we will hear more news of Gordon Ramsay and David Beckham’s new pie and mash restaurant, so keep your eyes peeled!
Remember that Hell’s Kitchen on FOX returns on November 10th due to the World Series, so set your DVRs!
