Bravo To Unveil New Show-The Real Housewives Of Miami

October 18, 2010 01:00 PM by Allyson Wells

Can’t get enough of Bravo’s Real Housewives franchise?  It is being reported that Bravo is about to unveil a new series, The Real Housewives of Miami starring wives of famous basketball players Scottie Pippen and Glen Rice.

The Miami Herald is reporting that the Miami version of the show has already filmed and ready to be edited, complete with a promo for the show.  Bravo had previously announced a new reality series, Miami Social Club.  Although the show was shot for a different show, Bravo has apparently decided to showcase it as a Housewife show.  There was a show on Bravo called Miami Social, but this show footage was reported as being a completely different show.

A source at E! revealed that Bravo “decided to make it a part of the Housewives franchise after or during production, which is already complete.” Apparently the change came because Bravo felt “this was supposed to be a stand-alone series about the Miami social scene and not another Housewives incarnation, we’ll be getting less table flipping and extension pulling and a little more class.”

E! Online is also reporting that the show will premiere in late 2010 or early 2011.  They are also reporting the cast to include:  Scottie Pippen’s wife, Larsa, ex-wife of Miami Heat star, Glen Rice, Christy, art socialite Adriana Sidi, Venue Magazine editor Alexia Echeverria, PR representative Marysol Patton, Lea Black, the wife of District Attorney Roy black who is a charity planner, and South Beach drag queen Elaine Lancaster.
