Dancing With The Stars: Week Five Performances

October 18, 2010 07:00 PM by Lisa Princ

Tonight the remaining eight celebrities and pros hit the floor once again on Dancing With The Stars on ABC. Tonight we’ll enjoy performances to television theme songs! Will any of our couples score 10′s this week after last week’s first set? Keep reading to find out what routine and to which tune your favorites performed and how they did!

ABC’s Dancing With The Stars kicks off tonight with the judges reliving each of the couples’ past performances as well as choosing which performance they thought was the best for each pair. Then the eight remaining couples will be performing a previously unlearned dance to a television theme song tonight. So let’s see how the couples fared tonight!

Brandy and Maks Chmerkovskiy
Brandy and Maks were the first up tonight and performed the Quickstep to the ‘Friends’ theme song. It was cute and started off with the two of them sitting but then quickly picked up the pace and they performed it perfectly. It looked like Brandy did not miss a single step – even Len commented that this was Brandy’s best performance and the others agreed as this pair got a score of 27 this week.

Rick Fox and Cheryl Burke
Rick took Cheryl to meet some of his fellow NBA players and coaches to help her understand him a bit more as she seemed to be getting a bit flustered while trying to teach him. The pair performed the Rumba to the theme of ‘Hill Street Blues’ and whatever Cheryl did seemed to work as Rick looked less robot like this week. This week they looked sexy and elegant and Rick even got his hips shaking. The judges loved them and it showed as they scored a 24.

Florence Henderson and Corky Ballas
Florence and Corky performed the Tango to ‘The Brady Bunch‘ theme song and while it looked a bit off for me – I am definitely not a fan of all the silly faces, the judges seemed to think it was one of her better performances. Carrie Ann did think it looked a little off as well, but the judges gave them a score of 21 which was one of their better scores.

Audrina Patridge and Tony Dovalani
Tony and Audrina performed the Rumba to ‘The Hills’ theme song and despite Tony’s best efforts to keep Audrina from feeling awkward by feeding her onions during rehearsals, she still looked a little nervous out there. This was definitely one of her worst performances and such a disappointment after the past few weeks. The judges agreed that it was not their best ether and gave them a score of 22.

Jennifer Grey and Derek Hough
Jennifer and Derek had a rough time during rehearsals as the pair could not get along well and Jennifer walked out, but then the pair made up and got on with rehearsals. They performed a Foxtrot to the ‘Married With Children’ theme song and while it was good and cute, it was not their best performance. Len even stated it was too theatrical for him and the judges were not handing them 10′s this week, but instead they got a score of 25.

Kyle Massey and Lacey Schwimmer
Kyle and Lacey performed the Foxtrot to the ‘Charlie’s Angels’ theme song and it was by far the corniest performance of the evening as Kyle was complete with fake Afro and mustache in a disco costume. Bruno thought there was not enough Foxtrot, while Carrie Ann disagreed. Len said it started bad and gradually got worse, calling it terrible and I have to agree with him here, it by far the worst performance of the season for this pair. They earned a score of 20 and it was only that high because Carrie Ann gave them an 8.

Kurt Warner and Anna Trebunskaya
Kurt and Anna performed the Quickstep to the ‘Bewitched’ theme song complete with nose wiggling from Anna. Kurt’s footwork was almost perfect and it was a magical performance. This pair worked this song perfectly and they looked adorable. Kurt was trying to improve desperately and it worked at they earned a well deserved score of 24 this week, which is their best score yet.

Bristol Palin and Mark Ballas
Bristol and Mark performed the Jive this week to the theme song of ‘The Monkees’ in an effort to be humorous and they were complete in gorilla costumes which they eventually came out of. Another goofy and clumsy performance in my opinion – Bristol looked like she had a tough time in that costume as well as having issues forgetting steps without the costume. This pair earned an 18 for their score this week.

That makes Maks and Brandy the top scorers of the evening while Bristol and Mark are in the bottom with Kyle and Lacey right behind them. Make sure you go vote, vote, vote so you don’t see your favorite go home! Tune in tomorrow for the live results show at 9 pm EST.
