Real Housewives of Beverly Hills: Adrienne Maloof Hopes To Set Good Example

October 19, 2010 03:27 PM by Sarah_Monson

Well, this might just be a Bravo first. It seems that a housewife on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills might actually want to use her fame for good, instead of for self promotion and the further debilitation of mankind.

Who is this selfless ray of light? None other than new The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Adrienne Maloof, who hopes that young women who watch her on the hit Bravo show will learn a thing or two – and not just how to how marry well and divorce even better.

Maloof is co-owner of Maloof Companies, mother of three, and now reality TV star. She said she hopes her role on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills will help “empower women.”

“I just would like to be inspirational to younger girls, that they can be independent if they want to go into business,” she said. “It’s not necessarily a man’s world when they’re in the business world.”

Maloof has already been featured in another Bravo reality show, “Dr. 90210,” with her husband, Beverly Hills plastic surgeon Paul Nassif.

And, even though Maloof’s husband was already on Bravo, she still had to audition! She was chosen for the show from a pool of about 7,000 women. Wow, that’s a lot of rich and fabulous ladies looking for their 15 minutes.

Out of the six that were cast, it seems pretty clear that Maloof is the most stable by far, so hopefully her wish to inspire young women will become  a reality … until she flips a table that is.
