Former Bachelor star Melissa Rycroft has revealed that she is having a baby girl!  Melissa recently appeared on the CBS new talk show The Talk and revealed her happy news to the world.

Before she revealed the gender of the baby, show hosts Julie Chen, Sara Gilbert, and Leah Remini presented her with blue and pink-themed baby gifts.  Julie Chen first said, “If you looked ugly I would say you were having a girl, because people believe a girl drains the woman of her beauty.”  Julie then said, “But because you look beautiful, I’m going to say you’re having a boy and I’m going to give you the blue teddy bear.”  Leah Remini and Sara Gilbert differed in opinion and handed Melissa a power-pink robe and blanket.

Melissa responded and said, “Well, of all the gifts in my lap, I think I’m going to take home the pink.”  Melissa’s husband is insurance agent Tye Strickland.  They married in December and their little girl will be arriving February, just shortly after their first anniversary.  Melissa previously revealed that the pregnancy was initially a shock because she and Tye were not even trying to conceive at the time.

Melissa spoke to her fans via Twitter and said, “Thank you all so much for kind words and support!  I won’t say too much yet, since some still haven’t seen the show, but we’re soooo excited!”

Melissa hasn’t stopped smiling since the dark time when The Bachelor star Jason Mesnick broke up with her on television.  Since that time, Melissa went on to be a finalist on Dancing With the Stars, and is now a correspondent for Good Morning America.
