Top Chef: Just Desserts: Johnny Iuzzini And Daniel Patterson Share Their Secrets At The Astor Center

Johnny Iuzzini’s expertise is utilized as the Pastry Chef of Jean-Georges in New York City and as one of the judges on Top Chef: Just Desserts. Now, viewers and fans of his personal creations can benefit from his culinary talents at The Alchemy of Taste and Smell: Flavor vs. Aroma with Daniel Patterson & Johnny Iuzzini at the Astor Center in New York City.
On November 13, Johnny Iuzzini and Daniel Patterson, who is the chef and owner of Coi in San Francisco, will explain how chefs and bartenders create new dishes, cocktails and flavor combinations. Throughout the hour-long cooking demonstration, the instructors will show how they combine flavors to create unique recipes and allow their students to taste their impromptu creations.
The class will be held at the Astor Center at 399 Lafayette St. at East 4th St. in New York City from 2:30 PM â€“ 3:30 PM. The cost is $55.00.
The Astor Center prides itself in offering “a new approach to education, a new way of exchanging ideas, a new forum for discussing that which brings us together around the table.” Therefore, other classes available involve the art of pairing chocolate and beer, wine pairing from different regions, cooking with sustainable seafood, Mad Men inspired recipes and cocktails, pizza making, the elements of sake and so much more.
