Have you ever wanted to tango in the kitchen with Hell’s Kitchen star Gordon Ramsay?Â You might have a chance!Â Fox has announced thatÂ the networkÂ is holding open casting calls forÂ Gordon Ramsay’sÂ show, Masterchef.
For the second season of Masterchef, Gordon is hoping that talented, everyday, at-home cooks will have a chance to prove their culinary skills and the opportunity to compete.Â On the series, contestants will be judged by Gordon, Joe Bastianich and Graham Elliot.Â Says Fox, “They will coach and critique the contestants in a series of challenges designed to test palates, knowledge and determination to follow their dream of making a mark in the culinary world.”Â
The first winner of Masterchef was Whitney Miller, a 22 year old student from Poplarville, MS and one of the youngest contestants in the first competition.Â She won the $250,000 grand prize and will have her onw Masterchef cookbook published.
The casting calls begin on Saturday, November 6 in Los Angeles.Â Casting calls continue in the following cities:Â Boston, New York, New Orleans, Orlando, Chicago, Dallas, Denver and Portland.Â The venues will be announced at a later date.Â For additional casting information, including forms and eligibility requirements, visit Masterchef Casting.Â
The first season of Masterchef was the number one new program of the summer among adults 18-49.Â Ramsay said the following about the show, “It’s amazing and refreshing to see how much passion and raw talent there is from amateur home cooks across America.Â It’s extraordinary the amount of energy and excitement the show brought in Season One, and I’m thrilled to be back at Fox for a second season.”
