The Girls Next Door star Kendra Wilkinson has had a busy few weeks. First, reports surfaced that her marriage was on the rocks. She has recently moved back to Los Angeles away from her husband Frank, to get started filming on her reality show, Kendra. Now it is being reported that Kendra turned down Playboy, the magazine that made her famous.
Life and Style magazine first reported that Kendra rejected an offer to grace the cover of Playboy. “She’s not worried about her husband, Hand, or offending people. She just wants to lose more weight before doing it,” said an insider. While the shoot would not have required Kendra to bare all, the magazine insider reported Kendra just was not ready. “If and when she’s ready to do it again, she will. But not right now.”
Now, Kendra spoke to E! Online about the report and claims that she passed on Playboy after doing some test shots not because of her weight, but because husband Hank Baskett didn’t like her motivation for posing–which was to prove she was still sexy as a mom. Kendra said, “He didn’t yell at me. He isn’t mad at me for doing that photo shoot. He actually sat down with me and he went over the reasons of doing it. And you know, my reasons weren’t right. I wanted to do Playboy for the wrong reasons. The wrong reasons are to prove people wrong, not to prove it to myself but to people and to put my middle finger up to everybody and be like, ‘I’m going to do Playboy!’ But that wasn’t the right reason, you know?”
