Survivor: Nicaragua — Jillian Getting Recognized By Patients

November 03, 2010 04:00 PM by Ryan Haidet

Last week, the La Flor tribe voted Jillian Behm off Survivor: Nicaragua on CBS.  Having lasted seven episodes, Jillian, a 43-year-old emergency room doctor from Erie, Pennsylvania, told me in a phone interview that she is getting recognized by fans nearly everywhere she goes — even by some patients in the hospital.  Read on to find out what Jillian had to say about becoming a reality star.

“Oh my gosh,” Jillian laughs.  “Erie is kind of a small town where I’m from.  It’s got like 300,000 people.  It’s Midwest, so we don’t get anybody famous here like ever.  I can’t even go out in public.  I had a patient, and I’m trying to do his history and physical before a colonoscopy and he’s like, “All right.  All right.  Get done with that.”  Then he’s like, “All right, here.”  Then he pushes this poster board of all this Internet stuff and this little collage he’s made.  He wants me to sign it.  We’re taking a picture of him in his hospital gown.  It’s a little distracting, you know.  But it’s cool.  It’s cool.”

Jillian just missed making the merge, which happens during tonight’s episode when Espada and La Flor become one.

12 castaways remain in the game.
