Did you see what happened on this week’s episode of Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills? Don’t worry, we’ve got all the details about Kyle and Taylor’s dueling, over-the-top birthday parties for their kids, and more. Keep reading to see what else you missed.
On tonight’s new episode of Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills we get to see a little more of the Housewives’ kids.
Taylor Armstrong and Kyle Richards are both planning quite lavish birthday parties for their daughters–on the same day! Taylor ends up spending $5,775 on Barbie necklaces for all 25 of the little girls attending her daughter’s birthday party, which comes to a whopping $60,000 for the Madhatter’s Tea Party themed shindig.
Lisa VanderPump is thrilled to have her daughter Pandora home for a visit, but 18-year-old Max, who was adopted at just 6-months-old, is a no-show. Lisa reveals that Max was sent away to school in Idaho because he was getting into trouble at home; a problem she thinks was caused by his issues growing up in a family of high achievers.
But Lisa’s family surprises her by flying her son, Max, in to town. At lunch, Lisa learns that Max is scheduled for a tour at The Musicians’ Institute, and fears that him being back in the area will lead to more problems. After touring the campus, Lisa decides that she’s okay with Max following his dreams and attending the school.
Camille Grammer is busy planning a trip to Hawaii with the family–and a couple of nannies, of course. In Hawaii, Camille opens up about life without Kelsey, saying that she feels “empowered” while he’s away, and that she “lost her sense of self” keeping him sober for so many years.
Kim Richards finally finds a new house, but unfortunately, she’s moving in on the same day as Kyle’s daughter, Portia’s party, which causes a bit of friction between the sisters. Portia’s party is laid back in tone (and a little cheaper, at about $20,000), but still very much a “high end” affair.
Meanwhile, at Taylor’s party…
Taylor has a great time posing for photographs, sipping champagne, socializing, and dancing to the special “theme song” that the band played for her daughter, Kennedy. Young Kennedy, on the other hand, spends most of her time with the nanny, asking to go upstairs. Lisa finds the whole party a bit over the top, but Taylor explains that she gets gratification spending money on her kids, rather than spending it on herself.
When it’s time for gifts, Taylor’s husband Russell surprises Kennedy (and Taylor) with a new dog.
Seems like both Portia and Taylor– we mean Kennedy– had great birthdays.
