NBC’s The Biggest Loser‘s Sean Algaier had lost 155 lbs by the season eight finale, and he is continuing to lose weight as he is now down to 240 lbs from his original weight of 444 lbs. Sean is continuing to try and inspire others to get healthy as well as he recently paid a visit to Oklahoma State University to share his story and advice. Students were excited to hear his tale as one junior reported “I found his speech incredibly moving and motivational. I think it’s really important for students to start early and make it a habit to eat healthy and exercise on a regular basis.”
Sean Algaier explained to the students how he used food as his comfort as he said “Everybody has this story or past that will just not go away. What I used was humor and food in hope that it would away.” and when asked by a student what the best secret is, Sean told them the best tip is to keep a food journal. He then shared some inspirational advice telling the students “Love yourself enough to go out and do what you have to do. In all reality, it’s not about looking a certain way, it’s about being healthy.” Thanks for the inspiration Sean, hopefully the next time we hear an update from Sean he will have reached his weight loss goal which he is still working on.
