This Sunday on ABC, Extreme Makeover Home Edition visits Pocatello, Idaho to build a brand new house for Jane Marshall-Spreier and her nine children. Their former home caught fire, and the entire family was saved by their dog Betsy, who awakened them in their sleep! Jane is a breast cancer survivor, so fellow survivor Kylie Minogue, who underwent surgery successfully like Jane, pitched in and performed a concert!
Not-to-be-missed will be the demolition of the old, devastated house, which will involve the pals of family dog, Betsy, raising the ‘woof’! Design team member Paul DiMeo will play piano with a full symphony orchestra while Ty Pennington directs the pooches to bring down the house in a ‘doggy demo’! Keep an eye out for Molly, a dog who drives an excavator!
Popstar Kylie Minogue will perform her concert at the new home when it is completed.
During the build, Jane Marshall-Spreier and her family vacationed in Key West, Florida, where Betsy the dog went swimming for the first time and got some dog pampering. Designers for the episode included Ty, Paul, Jillian Harris, and Ed Sanders. Local builders Rockwell Development completed the project along with community volunteers. Extreme Makeover Home Edition airs on ABC at 8:00 PM EST – check your local listings!
