The Real Housewives of Atlanta have moved to Sundays! But don’t worry, if you missed this week’s episode, we’ve got all the juicy stuff you didn’t see, like Kim Zolciak’s return to the studio and NeNe’s latest troubles with her husband, Gregg. Keep reading for all the details!
On tonight’s episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta on Bravo…
Kandi Burress is in the studio meeting with a prospective addition to her label, Lawrence, who happens to also be Sheree Whitfield’s hair dresser. As an openly gay singer, Kandi’s hope is to brand Lawrence as the RuPaul of today. But Kandi’s also busy helping Kim Zolciak develop a follow-up to “Tardy to the Party,” “The Ring Didn’t Mean a Thing.”
Kim takes to the booth and complains about everything from the range of the song to the fact that there aren’t any curtains in the studio. It was bad, but congrats to Kandi for being able to keep a straight face through all of it, and calmly telling Kim that she needs to see her vocal coach again. Kim, of course, blames her faulty vocals on the fact that she’s not in love with the song. (Riiiight.)
On Day 30 of NeNe Leakes’ 90 Day Rule that she’s trying to enforce with her oldest son, Bryce, NeNe is fed up with his lack of initiative, so she sets up a meeting with Cynthia’s fiance, Peter, to encourage Bryce to work harder.
Cynthia Bailey and her baby-daddy, actor Leon Robinson, talk about her relationship with Peter and the fact that they’re not yet married, which was awkward for us, but apparently the two have a very friendly relationship. Later, Peter assures Cynthia that a ring is coming soon.
Meanwhile, Phaedra Parks meets with a client–Latavia of the original Destiny’s Child! Latavia details her experiences after being booted from the group and makes plans with Phaedra to reignite her career. (Is that really up to a lawyer?)
NeNe and Kim go out to lunch and talk about NeNe’s relationship with Gregg, which Kim turns into a conversation about her and Big Poppa. Kim also vents her frustration about the song, “The Ring Didn’t Mean a Thing,” and asks NeNe for her opinion. For the record–NeNe’s not a fan.
Later, Kim holds a garage sale (in a parking lot), trying to empty out all of her storage units, but Kim and her dad have different ideas on what the items should sell for. The other ladies show up and take a break for lunch. At lunch, Phaedra again starts talking about her mysterious baby and the magically, elusive due date. According to Phaedra, she thinks she’s 7 months pregnant, the baby is already head down, 8lbs., and the doctor is ready to induce her. She also claims that her husband was born three months early and weighed 9lbs. at birth. Hmmm. Sounds fishy.
When Kandi arrives at the garage sale, Kim breaks it to her that she’s not feeling the new song. Kandi then breaks it to Kim that she needs to focus on her vocals and take things seriously, or she’s out.
Cynthia and Peter go to NeNe’s house for dinner and Peter talks to Bryce about how he got his start as a club owner. After too much alcohol, NeNe and Gregg try to advise Cynthia and Peter on relationship matters. But things turn ugly when NeNe gets a little touchy with Gregg and after the men leave the room, NeNe tells Cynthia that she’s going to divorce Gregg, and shows her Gregg’s “apartment” in the basement. Then, NeNe drops a bombshell and hints that Gregg had an affair!
We can’t wait to see what happens next week!
