Last week, Nintendo released The Amazing Racevideo game for Wii systems by Ubisoft. This exciting news comes just a week after CBS unveiled plans to begin filming the show in high definition. Players can compete as racers against their friends to win the ultimate Amazing Race Challenges. The game is very similar to the reality television show and the video game players become racers and race each other across the globe in a quest to be the first to arrive at the final destination. The players have the option of playing as two-player racing teams or four-player racing teams. During the game, the racer players will grab their clues, take place in competitive matches, choose transportation and make their way to the pit stop where they encounter host Phil Keogahn.
Just like in the show, the racer players will complete Detours, road blocks, fast forwards and intersections as they race in exotic locations as they try to be the first to reach the pit stop.
The game also features 16 different types of mini-games, the ability to choose from short, medium or long races, races that trek in 84 unique locations, 18 cities and 5 continents, being able to play against familiar theme teams, and experiencing random events such as flat tires or shortcuts that give teams an extra boost or obstacle. The game is available now and retails for $29.99.
