Bachelorette winner Ryan Sutter teamed up with some of his reality star friends to run in the New York City marathon and help raise funds and awareness in the fight against cancer. Who was on Sutter’s star-studded team? Keep reading, we’ve got all the details!
And just who was on that team?
Sutter’s group included actors Scott Wolf and Donal Logue, and CBS reality stars Brennan Swain, Ian Rosenberger, and Chad Crittendon. Also on the team was one of Sutter’s close friends and former Survivor contestant, Ethan Zohn.
After cancer treatments kept him from running in last year’s marathon, Survivor Africa winner Ethan Zohn ran the 26.2 mile race on Sunday with his team of friends, finishing in 4:16:08.
In an interview with the Early Show on CBS, Sutter said, “We wanted to run together last year and everything happened with Ethan, and he sort of suckered me into continuing to run it. And I swore at the finish line I would never do it again, and here I am doing it again mostly because of him.” Ryan adds, “It is wonderful to have him back and I’m excited about it.”
Both Sutter and Zohn ran for cancer programs. “Ethan inspired me to get involved with a young adult cancer program that’s from Vail, Colorado, where I live, and this year for First Descents. Ethan is helping me out with that and we’re trying to get rid of this whole cancer thing.”
And now, it’s time for Ethan to pay up! The two reality stars agreed that the “loser” would give money to the winner’s charity. Sutter beat Zohn, finishing the race in 3:20:39, but it doesn’t look like there’s any losers in this story.
