The web was absolutely buzzing after Bravo aired the last episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, where Taylor Armstrong and Kyle Richards both threw extravagant birthday parties for their daughters. Taylor’s party, in particular, was estimated to cost upwards of $60,000! So what does Taylor have to say about the criticism she received over hogging all the attention on her daughter’s day, and spending so much on a party for a 4-year-old? Keep reading for Taylor’s response.
Last week on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Kyle Richards and Taylor Anderson threw dueling birthday parties for their daughters. Both parties seemed quite extravagant to viewers, but Taylor’s party for 4-year-old Kennedy, was by far the most outrageous.
While Kennedy spent most of her time shying away from cameras and asking to go upstairs, Taylor posed for photographs and sipped on champagne with the rest of the parents.
So what did Armstrong have to say about the criticism she received after the show aired?
“I absolutely love birthday parties, and celebrating the birth of my daughter is the best celebration of them all!” Taylor wrote on her blog.
“The children were entertained by an unbelievable magician and a team of amazing fairies who dressed them in tea party attire and led them in magical games,” Armstrong explained. “While I was toasting Kennedy’s birthday with the adults, the little ones were on a fairy led treasure hunt though the intricate grounds of the estate.”
Taylor goes on to say, “This was one of the first exposures Kennedy had to the camera crews, and she was shy when they were around her. At the request of many mothers in attendance, I kept the cameras away from the children as much as possible and therefore the majority of the footage is of the adults.”
Well, when you put it that way–it’s not that bad. But it still doesn’t explain the “Kennedy Theme Song” that included the lyrics, “You’re beautiful, just like your mom.”
