The Biggest Loser: Jesse Adkins Talks About Friendship And Game Play

November 11, 2010 02:00 PM by Lisa Princ

If you tuned in to the The Biggest Loser on NBC on Tuesday, you watched as fan favorite Jesse Adkins was surprisingly eliminated as a result of nothing more than game play. In a post elimination interview, Jesse talks about the game play and the friendships he had made. Keep reading for more details!

One of NBC’s The Biggest Loser contestants who was eliminated this past week, Jesse Adkins had probably one of the most emotional eliminations in a long time as his “so called” friend Patrick had voted for him to go home. Jesse, however tells reporters that despite the betrayal, he and Patrick have managed to mend their friendship. Jesse said “Patrick and I had a chance to chat recently and talked about things. I told him, ‘Listen, I think two signs of quality traits in a person – one is, somebody that can own up to and apologize for something stupid and not make excuses for it, but really say ‘I screwed up.’ And on the flip side, somebody that can forgive a friend for having done something that maybe was a hasty decision, or something that they thought was a stupid decision, they can forgive and move on. I think he and I both displayed those qualities in our conversation, and we were able to basically say, ‘Let’s go back to being really good friends.’ …Despite a temporary lapse in judgment, Patrick is a good guy.” in a post elimination interview.

Jesse Adkins, who has lost a total of 124 lbs to date and continues his healthy lifestyle at home goes on to tell that he was not enjoying his time on the ranch or the game play recently as he claims “I hope that the people there can find some semblance of joy and enjoy the rest of their time on the ranch. We really weren’t enjoying our time on the ranch for a few weeks because people were getting snipe-y with each other, and it was getting a little rough there for a while – a lot of finger-pointing, a lot of whispering, and I honestly thank God that I had Aaron for a teammate that final week, because he kept me sane. Game play did get in the way of having some fun, but there were enough really good people there at the ranch that we were all able to have fun, too. I think everybody left there with at least a few really close friendships.” Best of luck to Jesse, we can’t wait to see you at the finale in December.
