With Bethenny Frankel’s ice-skating debut on ABC’s Skating with the Stars just a couple of weeks away (okay-9 days, and yes, we’re counting!), her former Real Housewives of New York City co-star Ramona Singer is just as excited to see Bethenny on ice as we are, but admits that she’s a bit nervous. Keep reading to see what the “renewed” Ramona had to say about why she’s worried about Bethenny being on the show, and whether or not we can expect to see her cheering in the stands when Skating with the Stars premieres.
Though Ramona will be cheering her on, she admits that she’s a little nervous about Bethenny taking to the ice. “I’m nervous for her!” Singer said Tuesday night while hanging out at Manhattan’s Pacha nightclub. “Bethenny’s a high achiever and I really admire that about her, but I’m nervous for her.”
Like many others, Ramona is concerned about the inevitable injuries that are likely to occur on the show. “On Dancing with the Stars they have injuries. If she has a bad fall, she could be injured for a long time.” Singer adds, “I’m happy for her and I’m excited for her, but I’m also nervous for her. I feel like a protective mother [thinking], ‘I don’t know if you should be doing this because I don’t want you to get hurt.”
It’s obvious that Ramona will be giving Frankel her full support, but she’ll be doing it from afar, since Skating with the Stars is taped in Los Angeles, and with a teenage daughter in New York, Singer won’t be able to make the trip.
