Bravo’s Work of Art: The Next Great Artist, produced by Sarah Jessica Parker has been renewed for a second season! With the show doing so well in its premiere season, what took Bravo so long to make the decision? Will changes be in store for Season 2? We’ve got all the inside information. Keep reading for details.
It looks like Work of Art: The Next Great Artist, produced by actress Sarah Jessica Parker, will be back for a second season on Bravo. The reality show, which was the network’s highest rated competition show since Top Chef, already began casting for the next season in August, but wasn’t given the official greenlight until last week.
What took the execs at Bravo so long?
Bravo president Frances Berwick says, “We wanted to bring the show back, but…it was just about going through our process.” Berwick adds, “We always loved the show and we thought it was a keeper. [It] did very well for us.”
But despite the show’s success, Berwick still says that changes are in store for the new season–specifically, casting changes, revealing, “We’re trying to figure out the logistics.”
So will fans even be able to recognize Work of Art in Season 2?
Joe Adalian warns that too much shouldn’t be read into the lack of details on the show’s return, and adds that fans shouldn’t assume “Berwick’s hesitancy to confirm names as a sign the show is headed for a massive overhaul; she’s pretty effusive, for example, when talking about how [judge Jerry] Saltz fit into the show’s first season.”
Stay posted for more details as they come!
