American Idol’s Chris Daughtry has a lot to be thankful for this Thanksgiving! He and his wife, Deanna announced that the two newest members of the Daughtry family were born on Wednesday, November 17th. What did they name the babies? Keep reading for all the details!
Congratulations to Chris Daughtry! On Wednesday, November 17th, the American Idol alum and his wife, Deanna, welcomed fraternal twins Adalynn Rose and Noah James to their family.
The couple’s newborn daughter, Adalynn, was born at 11:06 a.m. weighing 6 lbs. 5 oz., while their son, Noah, came into the world at 11:25 a.m. weighing 5 lbs., 5 oz.
As soon as the babies were born, proud poppa Chris Daughtry tweeted, “They’re here!!!” The official announcement was later made on the band’s website.
“Our family is overwhelmed with joy by these two precious gifts from God,” said Daughtry. “The babies are both healthy and resting. Thanks to everyone for their love and prayers.”
The couple announced that they were expecting twins–their “double blessing”–on Daughtry’s website in May. The twins were conceived using IVF, and the embryos were then transferred to a gestational surrogate who carried the babies to term. Deanna was unable to carry the children herself due to a partial hysterectomy that she had four years ago.
The birth of the twins makes a total of four children for 30-year-old Chris and his wife, Deanna. The pair are also parents to two older children, Hannah and Griffin.
An all new season of Fox’s American Idol premieres in January 2011.
