Thanksgiving week always seems to leave us loosening our belts with loads of leftover turkey, mashed potatoes and stuffing. Well, get ready for more leftovers to spill onto your television screen. Survivor: Nicaragua on Wednesday night will serve up a platter of never-before-seen footage from the first half of the competition. Read on to find out more…
It seems customary now for Thanksgiving week to be the time when Survivor unleashes an episode filled with leftover footage and recaps of the best moments in the game. Although fans never seem pleased with recap episodes (myself included), the last few ones have actually delivered interesting stuff. The rehash episode for Survivor: Tocantins is the prime example. I really enjoyed that one because we got to dive deeper into the characters while being reminded of how the competition had evolved.
But what about the promo after last week’s episode of Survivor: Nicaragua featuring NaOnka doing something to stun the tribe? In the short tease, everybody looks very disappointed with NaOnka during their confessionals — one of which showcases Fabio wearing the individual Immunity necklace. Did CBS really spoil the winner of the next episode’s Immunity challenge? While it’s very possible Fabio may win Immunity in the next fresh episode, I don’t think this has anything to do with new content. In fact, Fabio won Immunity in the exact episode where NaOnka stole the food after the tribal merge. I think this is just clever editing. I think this is simply unaired reactions to NaOnka after she stole the food a few episodes ago. It sure did look brand, spankin’ new.
Nine contestants are left in the competition.
