Heidi Montag of MTV’s The Hills once praised the doctor who performed her multiple plastic surgeries, even going as far as to call him “an angel” that changed her life after receiving news that the surgeon had died in a tragic car accident . But now, in an interview with ABC, Montag claims that Dr. Frank Ryan misled her and even affected her marriage to husband Spencer Pratt. Read on for all the details.

Just a day after Dr. Frank Ryan’s tragic death in August, Montag praised the doctor on Twitter, calling him, “the most amazing person I have ever known.”

“He was an angel and changed my life and the lives of everyone he met. He was the most brilliant talented surgeon who will ever exist. Dr. Frank Ryan changed the world,” she tweeted.

But in an interview that aired last night as part of the ABC special, Primetime: Celebrity Plastic Surgery Gone Too Far?, Heidi recounted a different experience with the doctor, claiming that he misled her when it came to discussing the details of the entire process.

“I definitely think I should have been way more informed,” said Heidi. “I think that doctors should really walk you through all aspects of it, not just the glamorous side of it. Doctors, it’s like they’re selling you cookies or something.”

Though Montag says that she’s not happy with her body, the reality star is reluctant to undergo surgery again.

“I don’t want the biggest boobs in the world, and to be honest, I would take them out and downsize them, but I don’t want to go under the knife again,” Montag said in the interview. “I feel like I’m stuck with them now…sometimes I wish I could go back to the original Heidi.”

Heidi also claims the the recovery process took a toll on hubby, Spencer Pratt, and the emotional stress had a negative impact on the couple’s marriage.

“He didn’t sign up to be the nurse to his 23-year-old wife at the time, day and night,” said Montag. “It was so traumatizing what my body looked like. I couldn’t look in the mirror. I was hysterically crying…and he’s like, ‘I didn’t marry this girl.’”

Montag admits that she should have had some idea of what she was in for before going forward with the surgery, but says that she wasn’t “prepared enough.”
