Season Eleven of Dancing With The Stars on ABC may have been the most controversial season to date, but that certainly did not stop the viewers from tuning in as the show hit a six year ratings high for the finale. Keep reading for more details!
Dancing With The Stars season eleven certainly had it ups and downs and despite viewers threatening to stop watching due to Bristol Palin sliding through week after week, ABC hit a ratings higher than they have seen in six seasons on the night of the finale with an attractive 26.4 million viewers. According to an ABC press release, the network says “ratings rose sharply over its year-ago finale, jumping by 4.8 million viewers and by 23% in Adults 18-49 (19.3 million & 4.3/12 on 11/24/09). In fact in its 11th-season closer, “Dancing With The Stars: The Results” scored its biggest finale audience in 6 seasons and its top Adult 18-49 number in 5 seasons – since 11/27/07 and 5/20/08, respectively.”
So what about the competition? They had no chance either against ABC’s high rater as ABC towered over the final Tuesday of the November Sweep, beating its nearest competition (CBS) by 3.8 million viewers (18.4 million vs. 14.6 million) and by 32% in Adults 18-49 (4.1/12 vs. 3.1/9). With that said, Season eleven of Dancing With The Stars on ABC has officially wrapped up with a bang. Stay tuned for details on the upcoming season.
