On the first episode of Skating With the Stars, Bethenny Frankel scored at the bottom of the leaderboard, just edging Vince Neil out by one point. She recently spoke to E! Online about her figure skating debut and why she decided to take on this new reality show. Keep on reading to find out what she had to say.
First of all, she told the online entertainment magazine, “I’m very, very neurotic, so I constantly think I’m going to fall on something. Irrational fears.”
As for why she agreed to compete on Skating With the Stars, Bethenny explained she’s all about empowering other women. “Without a doubt, I’m doing this for women who are afraid to try things and don’t take chances. I was truly terrified to do this, all arrows pointed to no, but I decided to fight that and said ‘I’m scared, but I’m going to do it,’ and that’s what a woman needs to do.”
When asked about her low score, landing just one point above the night’s lowest scorer Motley Crue’s Vince Neil, the new mother responded, “What am I supposed to do—be upset that I’m not Peggy Fleming? We don’t take ourselves very seriously. We had a great time. I put my all into it, and that’s all I wanted—to not fall, get through the routine and have fun, that’s what it’s all about.”
