Survivor: Nicaragua — Two Quitters?

November 30, 2010 04:00 PM by Ryan Haidet

The first player to ever quit Survivor was Osten Taylor during the seventh season in the Pearl Islands.  Since Osten’s torch was snuffed and set on the ground, several other castaways have called it quits throughout a variety of seasons — including two from Survivor: All-Stars.  If the commercials are any true indication of what’s in store for Wednesday night’s episode of Survivor: Nicaragua, it looks like two more players will be adding their names to the list of quitters.  Read on to find out what more you can expect from the upcoming episode on CBS.

A short promo for the episode teases that two people might drop out of the game saying it’s the “Most-shocking Tribal Council ever.”  The commercial also shows host Jeff Probst looking at the Libertad tribe as he questions one player.  “You’re quitting?” Probst asks.  Then his attention turns to another castaway when he asks the same question.  “You’re quitting, too?”

The episode is appropriately titled, “You Started, You’re Finishing.”  A press release from CBS says emotions run high as the elements set in and the castaways are left questioning their place in the game.  One player’s selfish act also causes great disappointment for an alliance member.  Meanwhile, another tribe member shares some motherly advice to toughen up a young castaway.

Only nine contestants remain on Survivor: Nicaragua as the live finale arrives on Sunday, December 19.
