Oh the price of fame. As a wise man once said, “Mo money, mo problems.” Okay, that was the Notorious B.I.G, but it’s still true. And Jenni “JWoww” Farley of MTV’s Jersey Shore is learning that the hard way after being sued by her ex-boyfriend, Thomas Lippolis.
Lippolis, who filed the suit against JWoww on Friday, December 3rd in New York, claims that while the two were dating he served as Farley’s business manager. He even alleges that he played a big part in JWoww getting her Jersey Shore gig.
In addition to her role on the wildly popular MTV reality show, Thomas Lippolis says that he brokered other deals for the self-professed “sexual praying mantis,” landing paid appearances and endorsements for her at nightclubs, a sunless tanning company, and with a plastic surgeon.
According to Lippolis, he was the “sole negotiating agent” in JWoww’s Jersey Shore deal, and that the star has him to thank for getting her paid $17,500 per episode of the show, and a $75K bonus “dependent on ratings at the end of the season.”
In the suit, Thomas Lippolis is asking for $350,000 in unpaid booking fees from the Jersey Shore star. Farley and her reps don’t deny that Lippolis played a part in booking some of her appearances, but they insist that he was paid for them.
What JWoww and her reps do deny that Lippolis had any involvement in her tanning lotion or MTV deals, which we’re sure make up a pretty large chunk of what he’s asking for in the settlement.
