Skating With the Stars has been called a lot of things during its short time on the air, but uneventful cannot be one of them. Sure, week one may have been a little slow, but it was quickly followed up with several spills on the ice during week two, injuries and sidelining illness during week three and judge Johnny Weir putting Bethenny Frankel in her place during week four. As the final and fifth week approaches, one more shakeup is in store – a brand new Skating With the Stars contestant.
Now that Disney’s “Sonny With a Chance” star Brandon Mychal Smith has dropped out due to illness, it seems he is in fact being replaced. No, not by formerly eliminated contestant Vince Neil or Sean Young, but, according to E! Online, by former The Bachelorette and The Bachelor Pad star Jonathan Novack.
Apparently Jonathan Novack has been with Skating With the Stars since day one, but behind the scenes as an understudy. Now, he’s being called up to the show and will skate with Brandon’s former partner Keauna McLaughlin.
Nicknamed “The Weatherman,” Jonathan Novack was an actual weatherman in Houston, Miami and other cities before stepping into the reality show world consciousness. He starred in season 6 of The Bachelorette, but failed to capture Ali Fedotowsky‘s heart. He then competed and lost again on the first season of The Bachelor Pad.
