David Cook turns 28 years old today, and in addition to working on his new album, which is set to release early next year, Cook is celebrating his birthday by asking all of his fans to support him in the Race for Hope by contributing $28 to his fundraising page.
This is David’s third year participating in the Race for Hope. Last year, he and his fans were able to raise $12,000 in one day, and Cook is hoping to top that amount this year.
David Cook’s Race for Hope team also has a special goal. They’re trying to raise the most money for the third year in a row, and to top their contribution of $152,306.74 that was made last year.
The Annual Race for Hope will be held on May 1, 2011 in Washington, D.C. The organization seeks to raise awareness and funds to help people suffering from brain tumors.
Best of luck to David and his entire Race for Hope team!
