After a dismal showing in the judges’ eyes, both fashion houses were brought to task for their poor collections during week six of The Fashion Show Ultimate Collection. Deciding on who the worst of the worst was couldn’t have been an easy task, but ultimately, it was David who was out of fashion for his Hamptons weekend getaway look. To find out what David had to say in his video exit interview, keep on reading.
“It’s a terrible feeling to be going home,” he admitted. “I’m still in shock. They say, ‘Who would dress like that in the Hamptons?’ But, I would dress like that in the Hamptons. That’s how I would represent myself. I got really upset. I had a lot of built up anger. I’m sure you could see it in my eyes and on my face. I gave it my all. I don’t know what else I could have done.”
Despite leaving The Fashion Show Ultimate Collection early, David declared, “I’m extremely happy I was a part of this process. I’m very proud myself. I can walk away with a smile on my face. I’ve met some amazing people here and I hope to continue the relations that I began. With Dominique, I definitely had some strong feelings toward her. We were getting a lot closer than what we portrayed on camera.”
As for his future, The Oklahoma native, who now resides in New York City, mused, “When I get back I definitely want to keep working hard and keep making my designs and get into some stores and keep moving forward. A lot of good things are going to come out of this. I would love to just grow with whatever comes.”
“It is what is,” David said of being eliminated from the Bravo reality show. “It’s in the past. I’m looking forward. I would have loved to win, but walking away with what I have now,I already feel I’ve won. I love everyone, even Calvin.”
David had one last parting statement to make, aimed at the object of his affections: “Dominique, you’re a beautiful soul. Tap into your inner strength and stay strong. You’re very closed with your emotions sometimes and just stay focused and release anything you have into your work. Don’t fall victim to the drama. I’m here with you and I’ll be here when you get out and I look forward to seeing you again. ”
