Someone almost ruined Christmas for Denise Richards‘ daughters–and it wasn’t the girls’ father, actor Charlie Sheen. In an interview with Access Hollywood, the E! It’s Complicated star talks about how she’s doing her best to keep the spirit of Christmas alive in her house, and how she unwinds with some very special friends at an exclusive potluck dinner.
Things were definitely complicated for Denise Richards this holiday season. The star of Spike TV’s “Blue Mountain State” had some “splainin’” to do when her 6-year-old daughter, Sammy, asked her if Santa Claus was real.
“It was almost blown,” Denise Richards told Kit Hoover of Access Hollywood Live. “There was a little girl at school–Sammy told me, ‘Mom, is it true you put your name on the present?’ and I said, ‘No.’
“I love that they believe in Santa. It’s so fun.”
And hopefully, that fun will last at least a few years longer for Sammy, who’s 6, and Lola, 5, who, according to Denise, are already a lot like their parents.
“Lola’s definitely very spontaneous and very chatty and all of that… and Sammy, I would say she’s got a lot of Charlie [Sheen] in her–she’s very quiet, she’s very focused, which is fantastic with school and everything,” said Denise Richards of her daughters.
“But I think there’s a lot of me in both of them. And Sam is definitely more like her dad and Lola’s a lot like my mom, too.”
And when Richards isn’t busy working or spending time with her girls, she connects with some other celeb moms for support.
The Hot Moms Potluck Dinner was started when Denise Richards met Lisa Rinna, Alison Sweeney, Candace Cameron Bure, Ali Landry, and Kyle Richards on Twitter.
“Each one of us hosts the actual dinner. We make it like potluck,” said Denise.
But don’t expect to get any info on what the ladies dish about at their dinners.
“Everything that’s said in the house stays in the house. And it’s nice,” said Richards. “It’s a nice group of very supportive women. We’re all moms, and I love it.”
