The Biggest Loser: Season Eleven Starts Tonight With Some Changes And An Olympic Gold Medalist Wrestler
January 04, 2011 10:00 AM by Lisa Princ
Just three short weeks ago we just watched as Patrick took home the season ten crown on The Biggest Loser on NBC and tonight our favorite weight loss show returns for a brand new season. Season eleven kicks off tonight with some big changes and we’ll even see an Olympic gold medalist wrestler – but not as you think, he will actually be a contestant! Keep reading for all the exciting details on what you can expect to see on tonight’s premiere!
That’ right my fellow The Biggest Loser fans, season eleven premieres tonight at 8 pm EST and there are some major changes in store for the newest season. Eleven couples of friends and family members will head to the ranch tonight where they will have a unique opportunity this season: the choice to train with our favorite trainers, Bob Harper and Jillian Michaels, or to train at an undisclosed location with two new trainers. If the teams choose the new trainers, they will be automatically given four weeks of immunity, but should they choose to work out with Bob and Jillian they risk elimination the very first week – tough choice in my opinion, but my heart belongs to Bob and Jillian. According to an NBC press release, whom leaked out this spoiler saying “The players’ reactions result in some surprising choices, ultimately leading to five teams going with the new trainers and six teams staying at the ranch with Bob and Jillian.”
On that list of contestants for season eleven we will meet Olympic gold medalist wrestler, Rulon Garderner. But just how does such an athlete become so unhealthy that he needs to hit the ranch? You’ll have to tune in to find out. Some of the other contestants include Denise Hill, a mom of eight, Arthur Wornum, this season’s biggest contestant at 507 lbs., Sarah Nitta, a woman who desperately wants to be a mother after multiple miscarriages attributed to her weight, and identical twin policeman, one who lost his 24 year old son and the other, who is estranged from his son because of his obesity. Tonight we will also see one player make Biggest Loser history for the most weight lost ever at a weigh in and then we will see another player sent home.
Be sure to tune in tonight at 8 pm EST on NBC for the season eleven premiere of The Biggest Loser! See you after the show!
