This week on an all new episode of Bravo’s Top Chef: All-Stars, the competition heats up when the remaining cheftestants are put up against none other than Top Chef judge Tom Colicchio! How do they measure up? Get a sneak peek of Wednesday night’s Quickfire Challenge here!

What could possibly top the chefs being asked to create a holiday stuffing without using any utensils in the last Quickfire Challenge? How about going up against acclaimed chef and judge of Top Chef: All-Stars–Tom Colicchio!

In the latest Quickfire Challenge, the cheftestants must race to prepare a dish. Their time to beat? The time it takes Tom Colicchio to make the very same dish!

And for those not familiar with just how talented Tom Collichio is; here’s a little history…

Tom Colicchio began dabbling in the culinary arts at a very young age, quickly getting in to the New York restaurant scene by cooking at The Quilted Giraffe, Gotham Bar & Grill, Rakel, and Mondrian. While executive chef at Mondrian, Food & Wine magazine selected Colicchio as one of the top ten “Best New Chefs” in the U.S.

In 1994, Colicchio and his partner, Danny Meyer, opened Gramercy Tavern in Manhattan, and in 2000, Tom was recognized as the Best Chef-New York by The James Beard Foundation.

In 2001, Colicchio opened Craft just a block away from Gramercy Tavern, and only a year after the restaurant’s open, it was awarded The James Beard Award for Best New Restaurant, and Tom received Bon Appetit’s American Food and Entertaining Award for Chef of the Year.

Tom Colicchio then went on to open more Craft restaurants throughout New York City, Las Vegas, and San Francisco,  like Craftbar, Craftsteak, and ‘wichcraft.

Tom’s newest restaurant, Colicchio & Sons, which features dishes made with small-batch ingredients gathered from micro-producers and family farmers, was opened in New York in January of 2010, and has since earned a raving three-star review by The New York Times’ Sam Sifton.

Sounds like the chefs are up for a real challenge!

    top Chef All Stars
You booted off the wrong person. Casey should have been given credit for pushing the carts upstairs she was not downstairs to cook her chicken feet. The way she would have wanted
Jamie should have been let go, her scollop dumpling was a failure and she screwed up cooking the long beans.
    A terrible mistake
