Just before the holidays, Xzibit dropped in to Warner Brothers Studios to make an appearance on The George Lopez Show. The famed rapper and Extreme Makeover Home Edition design team member had an exciting announcement for fans of his music. Read on for all the details!
On December 20, Extreme Makeover Home Edition design team member, Xzibit, took the opportunity while doing an appearance on The George Lopez Show, to make a long-awaited announcement to his fans – he has a new album in the works!
Xzibit, who felt it was time for a new album, told viewers that he has teamed up with Mack 10 (who was also in the audience), and they would be releasing their new album in 2011.
Interestingly, Xzibit showed off his Extreme Makeover Home Edition design skills while on the set of The George Lopez Show when he did some work in the green room!
Here’s hoping he makes lots of sales on the new album. According to the Detroit News, Xzibit owes nearly one million dollars in taxes to the federal government. Apparently, Detroit-born Xzibit is in bankruptcy and the IRS has filed a lien against the rapper, whose real name is Alvin Joiner, to recover the money.
Court records show that Xzibit’s income dropped dramatically after his reality television program, Pimp My Ride, was canceled in 2008. He earned $497,175 in 2007 when the reality show was still going strong, but his earnings dropped to only $67,510 in 2008.
Check out a sneak peek of Xzibit’s upcoming episode of Extreme Makeover Home Edition, where he helped the design team with a home makeover for a wounded soldier in Fort Hood.
