The hit singer and actress who began her career in the 60s tweeted comments about Lambert that clued Examiner.com in to her immense fandom.
“I voted for him many times and I was FURIOUS when he lost,” Sinatra tweets.
Sinatra gushes on Lambert’s talent in many comments, even agreeing to a comparison between Lambert and Elton John who she says she sees similarities between and respects both tremendously.
Sinatra’s tweets reveal she thinks the “Idol” star will have a successful long-term career. She says “Adam will never have to be in a box. He is far too talented and brilliant.”
Sinatra says Lambert’s best album is his acoustic, but has one suggestion. Her recommendation for the former “Idol” contestant: “make the image fit the music.” Examiner.com reports she’s not a big fan of what she calls Lambert’s “over-the-top” style and thinks he needs to tone it down and keep the focus on the music.
Sinatra’s own image was an important aspect of her career in the 60s. Music videos and performances of her hit song “These Boots Are Made For Walking” feature the singer shimmying around the stage with bouffant hair, a glittery dress and, of course, some go-go boots.
Examiner.com reports Sinatra received some backlash for her comments on Lambert’s attire. Sinatra assured angered fans she was merely trying to offer helpful advice for his success.
Lambert has recently been nominated for a Grammy award for his hit single, “Whataya Want From Me,†off his first album. The pop star’s second album is rumored to be released this Spring.
