The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills: Camille Grammer Says She’d Only Return to Show to Improve Her Image

2010 has been a rough year for Camille Grammer of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills . Not only is she in the midst of a public divorce from ex-husband, actor Kelsey Grammer, but she’s also quickly become one of reality TV’s most hated stars, and is reportedly leaving the show that brought her into the spotlight. In an interview with daytime talk host, Ellen DeGeneres, Camille claimed that she hasn’t yet made a decision as to whether or not she’ll be returning for the second season of the hit Bravo reality series, but if she does come back, it’ll be for one reason only–to improve her image.
“I don’t think it’s an accurate portrayal of who I am. It’s really not an accurate portrayal,” Camille told talk show host Ellen DeGeneres during a Friday appearance on her show. “They’re saying awful things about me and it’s very hurtful, it’s very hurtful,” added Grammer.
And with rumors swirling that the 90210 Housewife won’t be back for the show’s second season, Camille Grammer says that if she does do the show again, she’d do it for a very specific reason.
“You know, if I would do it again, it would be to try and change my image and try and turn it around and have people see the other side of me they don’t see on TV,” said Grammer.
When further pressed by DeGeneres about her return, Camille simply said, “Haven’t decided,” adding that she still has two weeks to let the network know whether or not she’ll be back for season two.
Not at all happy with her portrayal on the show, the soon-to-be divorced Grammer wants the producers to give viewers a more rounded version of who she really is.
“I mean we film like 100 hours and then it’s edited down to or cut down to approximately 43-45 minutes, so there’s a lot that the audience doesn’t get to see,” said Camille. “So, you know, it’d be nice to just round out my character…round out me a little bit more.”
But even she understands that returning to the show for the sake of improving her image could backfire. Besides, the producers can only use what they’re given….
Despite her claims that her image as a reality TV villain can be chalked up to editing (isn’t that what they all say?), Camille says that somehow the editors got it right when depicting the feud shown between her and co-star Kyle Richards, saying that what we see of their relationship is a pretty accurate.
“Off the camera, I think we tend to get along, but I’m not going to say it’s for show, because these are, you know, real things that are happening in our lives,” Camille told Ellen DeGeneres.
And things are set to get even more real when the Housewives’ Reunion Show airs on Bravo!
The ladies finished taping for the show last week, and according to Camille, “It is a doozy, it’s very emotional.”
We can’t wait!
