The judges eliminated Eduardo in week eight of The Fashion Show Ultimate Collection for not meeting the challenge’s eccentricity element. In his exit interview on Bravo, Eduardo opens up about leaving The Fashion Show and who he thinks should have gone home instead.
“I’m surprised,” he admitted about his elimination from the Bravo reality show. “I thought I was going to make it to the finals to be honest. Everybody was kind of shocked I was eliminated. Iman said my name and I was confused. I feel like I have a lot more to do here, but the judges are sending me home. What can I do?”
He continued, “I think I’m a great designer. I think I’m better than a lot of people here. I feel sad. I don’t want to go home. I think Calvin should go home instead of me. I feel my garments are better than his garments. I felt my garments were eccentric and glamorous. I have a different concept of eccentric than I think the judges have. I totally disagree with that.”
“I’m so happy I was part of this competition. Very very happy. If I had the choice to this again, would I do it differently? Yes,” he speculated. “I was okay until I got to the apartment to pick up my stuff. I actually started crying. Nobody was there. It was hard to pack and leave the apartment. I’m going to miss everybody. I met amazing people, great designers.”
As for his future, the Peru native, who currently resides in Florida, mused, “I think I’m going to do good after this show. A lot of doors are going to be open up for me. There’s a lot I’m getting from this show. A lot. I don’t know what’s next, but hopefully something big.”
