Live to Dance judge Kimberly Wyatt first got her start as a Pussycat Doll. While Wyatt is no longer dancing and singing in the popular group that also featured Dancing With The Stars Season Ten winner Nicole Scherzinger, she still thinks the group has a future.
After leaving the group in February of 2010, Wyatt told Dean Piper, “We knew at the start that it was set up not to be forever and we were made very aware that we could be replaced. There were girls before us and I’m sure there will be girls after us. That’s something that we’ve had to come to terms with. It could completely continue though as the Dolls have been going for 15 years.”
Luckily for Wyatt, she has been able to land other work, such as being an expert judge on a high-profile reality show. In addition to appearing as a judge on Live to Dance, Wyatt also is branching off and working on her solo music career with an edgy hairdo to attract attention. Her new band is called “The Majesty and the Wolves.” While Wyatt is involved in the musical elements of the group, there is no word yet if dance will be incorporated. According to the Press Association, she has teamed up with producer and songwriter MC Spencer Nezey and is able to produce her own work. She revealed to the Press Association, “”I didn’t really get to get into the studio with the Pussycat Dolls, I didn’t get to write, I didn’t get to do all the things I wanted to.”
It seems as though leaving the popular group has proven to be the right move for Wyatt so far.
