Live To Dance began the semi-finals this week and is one week closer to choosing its final acts for the dance-off finale. However, there are some acts from the preliminaries that still have viewers talking. One of the most-talked about acts was Christine Sarni, better known as C-Bunny, who is hearing impaired.
In the tryouts, C-Bunny explained to the audience that she has had a hearing impairment since birth. C-Bunny found that dance was the one way she could express herself and feel free of her disability.Â
C-Bunny, spoke with the Millstone Examiner about her experience on Live To Dance. She said, “I loved that the show kept embracing that I was hearing impaired and not deaf. That’s something that people never heard about before.” C-Bunny performed an inspired dance and received a standing ovation from the audience. Judges Paula Abdul, Kimberly Wyatt and Travis Payne praised her abilities. However, they did not move her through to the semi-finals for a shot at winning the $500,000 prize.Â
Although C-Bunny did not make it to the next round, her performance has moved others and she has found others reaching out to her. She told the Examiner, “I heard from people with physical disabilities, handicaps, hearing impairment and people that don’t have disabilities at all saying you gave me the motivation to live my life.”
