Things just keep getting better for Carla Hall of Top Chef: All-Stars! After winning yet another challenge– and another trip–on the last episode of the hit Bravo reality series, now she’s been named as Washington, D.C.’s Honorary Secretary of Love and Relationships for Destination D.C.’s “Date Night D.C.” event; a title previously held by Dr. Ruth Westheimer. Keep reading for more details.
A loud and proud “Hootie Hoo!” to Top Chef: All-Stars’ Carla Hall– the new Secretary of Love and Relationships for Destination D.C.’s “Date Night D.C.”
“Thanks for ALL the love y’all. I’m truly humbled,” tweeted the Top Chef fan fave. “@destinationdc chose me to be DC’S Secretary of Love & Relationships. I’m on my way to be sworn in by Council Chairman Kwame Brown.”
After Carla’s swearing in, Brown tweeted, “Love makes the world go round. Just swore in Carla Hall as Secretary of Love and Relationships! Plenty 2 do in DC 2 connect with loved ones.”
We know… You’re probably wondering what a “Secretary of Love and Relationships” actually does.
Well, according to the Washington Examiner, it’s a lot easier than the challenges Hall’s been faced with in the Top Chef kitchen this season (though she’s doing VERY well with them!).
As the Secretary of Love and Relationships, Carla Hall will help Destination D.C. market their event, “Date Night D.C.,” that’s aimed at getting couples in the Washington, D.C. area to go “out on the town” for the month of February.
Sounds like a pretty cushy position, but Carla is definitely deserving of the title.
