Former “Bachelor” Jake Pavelka is becoming a stunt pilot. The reality star and Dancing with the Stars contestant wants to fly in air shows. Keep reading for more details on “The Bachelor” star’s daring new career move…
People Magazine reports “Bachelor” and “Dancing with the Stars” competitor Pavelka is taking his pilot career to a whole new level–flying in air shows.
“I’m going to get involved in air shows,” Pavelka tells People. “As a civilian, you can’t fly in an F-16 but you can fly in a civilian fighter trainer that still goes 600 miles per hour, so I think I’m going to be flying a jet like that in several air shows this year.”
Pavelka works as a commercial pilot and makes time for reality TV and acting appearances on the side.
According to People, Pavelka’s big plans of flying in air shows also come with an ironic twist. He’s recently been asked to guest star on ABC soap, The Bold and the Beautiful, playing a pilot.
“It’s harder to play a pilot than to be a pilot!,” Pavelka tells People.
People says he was offered the role partly because the soap’s producer Brad Bell flies planes as well. Pavelka tells People the two had a lot in common and he decided to go for the role.
“I said, ‘Absolutely!’ It’s fun having a part like that. And the cast members were all incredible,” he says.
People reports Pavelka enjoyed acting the role, but doesn’t plan on giving up flying any time soon.
The magazine asked if he would ever do “The Bachelor” again. Pavelka took the opportunity to address rumors that he was “begging to be the Bachelor,” saying he read the story, but it was news to him.
