On Monday night’s episode of The Bachelor, Brad Womack was rather stunned by the early departure of bachelorette, Madison Garton – you know – the girl with the fangs. Madison underwent a change of heart after hearing Emily Maynard’s tragic story. Read on to see what she’s saying now, and if she’d consider being the next star of The Bachelorette…
Brad Womack respected Madison Garton’s decision to quit The Bachelor, even though he didn’t really understand. On episode three while contemplating leaving, Madison told Brad, “It seems like a lot of girls here already have their heart on the line for you and anything I do now would be taking away from them. It could have been very different if I showed my cards and been the real me from the beginning. There’s every chance that I’ll wake up tomorrow and wonder what the heck I just did.”
Madison appeared on The Ellen Degeneres Show today, and when Ellen asked her why she left, she explained, “I came into the whole thing with the idea that it’d be fun and I could be kind of crazy through all this stuff and then it became a lot more real to me, the whole Emily story for example. We became close friends and I saw how invested she was in the whole thing and her heart was on the line and she’s got a baby at home and all of a sudden, I couldn’t look myself in the eye and be the woman to even attempt to interfere with that. Not that I would’ve.”
When asked how she felt about Brad, Madison commented, “I think he’s a great guy. And if it doesn’t work out, call me up, Brad.”
Ellen also asked Madison about the possibility of being the next Bachelorette. Madison replied, “I’m not sure I can sign off on that job. It is really hard and people don’t give Brad enough credit. I mean, there are 30 women there vying for his attention all the time and he has to be such a gentleman to all of them. It’s a lot of pressure. It really, really is.”
Madison did admit to Ellen that she wouldn’t mind all the making out, though!
