The Bachelor’s Brad Womack is addressing reports of his criminal past which were brought to the public’s attention this week. Womack admits to making mistakes in his youth. Keep reading to see what else he had to say…
ABC’s “Bachelor” Brad Womack spoke with People to clear the air about recent rumors surfacing of his run-ins with the law, which included being arrested for having a forged driver’s license, public intoxication and passing a bad check.
“I’m sure I wouldn’t be the first to admit that I had a couple of missteps when I was a teenager — some 20 odd years ago,” Womack tells People. “Some of the claims have been blown out of proportion but I took responsibility for my actions and took immediate measures to remedy the situation.”
The 38-year-old “Bachelor” doesn’t dwell on his mistakes.
He tells People, “It was just part of my growing pains back when I was still young and naive. You learn from your experiences good and bad — and you move on. It ultimately builds character.”
Womack had to learn from another bad experience after his first try at finding love on reality TV didn’t have a storybook ending. Womack didn’t choose any of the contestants at the finale, leaving two girls confused and broken hearted.
Looks like Womack’s learning from his past “Bachelor” dating experience. He’s back on the show for another attempt at finding true love and assures media, this time around, he does choose someone.
You’ll have to keep watching to find out who that someone is.
“The Bachelor” airs Monday nights at 8/7c on ABC.
