The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills: Kyle Richards on the “Difficult” Season Finale of RHOBH

January 21, 2011 04:00 PM by Shayla Perry

After last night’s explosive fight between Kyle Richards and her sister, Kim Richards, on the season finale of Bravo’s Real Housewives of Beverly Hills which led to the shocking revelation of Kim’s alcohol addiction (and a short stint in rehab), Kyle quickly became one of the most hated Housewives on the show–which says a lot when your co-star is Camille Grammer. But what does Kyle think after seeing the fight play out on TV?

“That night never should have happened,” Kyle Richards wrote in her blog about the season finale of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. “It was incredibly difficult to go through in the first place and it’s even more difficult to watch and relive it.”

According to Kyle, what we didn’t see throughout the season were the “problems brewing” between her and Kim Richards off camera, making her reactions to any issues with Kim that appeared on the show seem to be blown way out of proportion.

“The tension between Kim and me was never about her not ‘having my back’ in New York. There is so much more to it than that. I didn’t want to come out and say what it was that was really bothering me because this is a private family matter. It would have saved me a lot of criticism, believe me, but it’s not just my story to tell. It’s Kim’s story too.

“After this horrible argument between Kim and I, we didn’t speak for a long time. My heart was broken and I suffered an incredible amount of anxiety and panic attacks. Next to losing my mother, this was the most difficult time of my life,” says Richards.

Though Kyle avoids going into detail about Kim Richards’ alcohol addiction, which later landed her in rehab, she does say that after seeing the show, she realizes that her hurt and worry over her sister’s issues often came out as anger, which wasn’t helpful for either of them.

As for her feelings toward Taylor Armstrong and her role in the argument with Camille Grammer and her fight with Kim during the season finale, it doesn’t look like Kyle Richards is seeing things any differently, writing in her blog:

“Taylor and I grew closer during taping. She opened up quite a bit to me. She is kind and vulnerable, and I wish her nothing but happiness. She deserves it.”

Perhaps she’ll have a different point of view when the ladies get together for the Reunion Show, which airs next Thursday at 9|8c!

Over and over again. It was pretty obvious that she was sitting, crying and trying to get away from the housewives brigade.

Kyle, Please if you come back to the show, please stop with the warming up to Taylor, she is not a good friend, and is completely responsible for the big blow up in New York, and 100% responsible for the blow up at her party, and tried on the reunion show to lure you into once more joining in attacking your sister Kim on the reunion show for another big blow up on that show. She isn’t even trying to hide that she wants Kim to suffer and tries to drive wedges between the two of you because she knows that it bothers or hurts Kim to see you choose Taylor over her, and she wins every time that you fall for her little dirty tricks and schemes. Another thing, if you never take up for Kim, why should she take up for you, even though no one acknowledges that Kim did take up for you at the dinner in New York, by saying that it was actually Taylor that said the whole insignificant remark, that supposedly reignited the fight between you and Camille. Kim tried in her own way that she was comfortable with to point out that you hadn’t been the one to say anything about insecure, or insignificant. Cant you see that Taylor is just trying to get rid of the fifth wheel, and she sees Kim as vulnerable and easy to get rid of, and you’re allowing her to bully your sister around and you should be ashamed. Remember this whenever there is a fifth person they usually tries to get rid of someone so they can secure their own position. She wants to be the 4th wheel, not the 5th wheel, so she just wanders around trying to be friendly with everyone that she is inferior to and attacks the only one that she thinks she might have a chance at eliminating and that is your sister. Be a better sister next season please. I have a sister like yours and it is hard to deal with but I can say this honestly, I have been guilty of being to hard on my sister at times and have regreted too, but one thing is for sure, when I see someone else thinking that they are going to go after my sister the way Taylor has with Kim, in front of me, they get put in check. It’s sort of like it’s automatic to take up for my sister whenever anyone else thinks that they can just get away with attacking her, because that is what family members do. Especially sisters. If nothing else get rid of Taylor so she stops making you look bad with regards to how you treat her better than you do your own sister, and she just revels in it. I hope that maybe your friend Faye Resnick will point it out to you, since you won’t listen to Lisa, who exposed her early on as the fire starter in the first place.
