Jersey Shore’s cast will head overseas to Italy to film season four of the hit MTV show. The network has already been scouting locations. Keep reading to see what plans they have in store for the cast next season…
According to PopEater, MTV is set for its “Jersey Shore” reality stars to film in Italy, but first, the government will have to let them in.
TMZ reports MTV executives started working on getting visas for the cast and crew two months ago.
A source tells TMZ MTV plans to have Vinny’s overseas relatives host an authentic Italian dinner for the cast.
Sources tell TMZ the network is scouting locations in Italy to find just the right location for the hard-partying cast.
The show’s location has changed throughout the seasons. The cast originally met in Seaside Heights, reunited in Miami for the second season, and came back to Seaside Heights for more drinks, tanning and drama.
Now “Jersey Shore” is set to film in Italy.
As PopEater reports, filming in Italy is bound to cause controversy. The show’s debut was heavily critiqued by Italian-American groups who felt it propagated Italian-American stereotypes.
Hollywood Life reports the new season will begin filming in May.

Season three of “Jersey Shore” is currently airing Thursday nights at 10/9c on MTV.
