Last night on The Bachelor, the women became increasingly insecure as Brad had two more one-on-one dates, opened up on Loveline with Dr. Drew, and paid some special attention to Emily at the cocktail party. Host Chris Harrison shared his view of episode four in his weekly blog. Read on for highlights…
Chris Harrison begins this week’s EW blog by noting how emotional the women were on The Bachelor’s episode four, in fact, he offers some cheese with all that whining!
Chris feels that as a result of all the therapy Brad Womack has undergone, each of the girls winds up feeling very special, and when they all feel that way, it leads to the issues we saw last night.
Michelle’s black eye was the great mystery on the episode. Chris observed, “The truth is nobody has any idea whatsoever how Michelle got that black eye. I don’t think its possible to get a ‘stress black eye’ as she said, and I don’t think she beat herself up…It was pretty amusing to see Michelle milk it all week using frozen peas, corn and popsicles to try to keep the swelling down.”
Chantal got the first one-on-one date with Brad on episode four. They went on a helicopter, which Chris says led to some speculation in the house since Ali Fedotowsky took Roberto on the first helicopter date, and Jake Pavelka took Vienna on the fist helicopter date of his season. Of the date itself, Chris notes, “As far as the date goes I think the chemistry between Brad and Chantal speaks for itself. ”
The group date saw the ladies and Brad visiting Dr. Drew on Loveline. In his blog, Chris says there was something viewers didn’t see, “Dr. Drew spent a lot of time with the ladies and gave his recommendations to Brad. ”
Of course the final one-on-one date of the episode went to the volatile Michelle. Chris points out that she has Brad “wrapped” right now, noting that he isn’t privy to all the drama in the house. As for Michelle and Chantal’s budding rivalry, Chris says, “I absolutely loved how Chantal stuck a pen in her balloon by pointing out how the date card didn’t have the world “love†in it. This really did bother Michelle, and she spent much time contemplating what this meant.” He confirmed there is more drama to come between the two, saying, “These two went at it over Ashley H and they’ll go at it again. ”
Chris wrapped up his blog by telling us last night’s rose ceremony was the last in Los Angeles at the house for this season – they’re on the road from here on out.
