As the world mourns the loss of fitness and health guru Jack LaLane, The Biggest Loser on NBC‘s Bob Harper pays tribute to the man he calls an “inspiration” to him and so many others. Keep reading to hear everything Bob Harper had to say!
The Biggest Loser trainer Bob Harper paid tribute to the late Jack LaLane in a recent interview with TV Guide Magazine. Bob told the magazine “It’s a sad day in my business. I was aware of Jack LaLanne over 20 years ago when I started in the business, and I remember always being very receptive to him because he was such a man. He made working out macho and he made his workouts so relevant.” Despite the fact that Bob Harper never had the opportunity to meet Jack LaLane, he says that did not mean he was not an inspiration to himself as well as many others as goes on to say “He was in my world, even though I never got to meet him. His longevity speaks for itself. The fact that not only would he talk about exercise, which is such a huge component, but nutrition was so big for him.”
Bob Harper, who says he hopes to follow in Jack LaLane’s footsteps had his sentiments followed by the same from his training partner on The Biggest Loser, Jillian Michaels. Jillian told TV Guide Magazine “I am saddened to hear about the passing of such a great man. He was an inspirational trailblazer who brought a friendly face to fitness for millions. His methods and example will be remembered and respected for years to come.” Be sure to tune in next week at 8 pm EST on NBC for a brand new episode of The Biggest Loser on NBC!
